Since I'm not creative enough to come up with a trick for you all, I decided to create a treat. I've been a fan of John Carpenter's music for a long time (um, I guess I should mention I like his films too…) Ultimately I'd love to cover the whole soundtrack to "Escape from New York" because Snake Plisken was a badass. But since it's a special time of year when all the ghouls come out to play, I spent a little time covering one of his more "seasonal" tracks. I put this together hoping you could use it to scare off potential Celldweller fans from your Myspace page or use it for your own personal Halloween theme park. (I must also mention that I convinced Xina to scream her budonkadonk off to make this track more painfully effective.) This is yours to download, keep and enjoy (or hate, but remember you're actually insulting John Carpenter too and I'm not sure he'd appreciate that.) This also helps indemnify me in the event any of you want to use the "what have you done for me lately?" line on me.

Klayton will be making a live guest performance with Growling Machines on December 15th, in Sau Paulo, Brazil for TRIBE, a massive trance festival. Klayton will be adding live elements (vocals, guitars, percussion, keys, etc...) to the Growling Machines remixes of Celldweller's "Own Little World," "Switchback," & "Frozen" and other originals & covers as they perform for over 20,000 people.

Celldweller's live bass player Kem, has been signed to Klayton's indie lable FIXT Music for his solo project Subkulture. Klayton is producing the debut album and is also appearing as a guest on the first single, "Erasus." In addition to singing on the track, Klayton produced, co-wrote, programmed & mixed the track. Celldweller fans will undeniably hear Klayton's signature production on "Erasus" with it's unique mix of combined styles. We have made 2 separate previews of "Erasus" available until the digital single is released at the FIXT Music Online Store next Monday, November 5th.

Klayton has completed a new remix of the track "HOME" by FIXT artist lvl. The remix session is being featured in the upcoming Logic Pro Studio Apple Training Series book by David Nahmani, where Logic users will be able to access Klayton's remix and interact with it on an accompanying DVD. The 600 page book/dvd combo will be available from Peachpit Press in late November.
A lvl remix EP featuring Klayton's remix as well as new remixes from Audesi, Deprogrammed and Nonplus will be available from FIXT Music in early November as a digital download.
The Take It & Break It Remix Competition Round 3 "Switchback" will be open for submissions until Sunday, January 13 at midnight. There are already over 75 "Switchback" remixes posted on the site. We have created Remixer Profiles on the site that showcase active remixers in the community, and are about to launch a new online utility for submitting your profile. Stop by the site and listen to the posted mixes, leave a comment for the remixers and check out the remix competition related merchandise & downloads.
